Breakfast with Elmo and Friends

On Saturday we went to Sea World and had breakfast with Elmo and Friends. If you ever get a chance to do this you should. First it is the BEST breakfast ever and second the kids really enjoyed it. The characters came around to every table and you were able to take pictures with them and then they all did a little dance together. I was worried Kinsey might be afraid of them but she wasn't at all! In fact, none of the kids seemed to be scared. Hannah and Kinsey ran around and hugged all of them. Josh just wanted to be left alone so he could eat his breakfast!!After we ate breakfast we went to some of the exhibits and then, my favorite part, we rode all the kiddy rides. You don't know how happy it makes my heart to have a child that loves to ride rides. Clayton HATES it!!! I told him that is why we need 3 kids. They will all have a partner to ride with and he can take the pictures!!! Here are some pictures of Breakfast with Elmo and Friends.

The First Day in San Diego

We decided that we would wake up and go to the best donut shop in San Diego and have a picnic at the park. When we got to the park we all sat down to eat but it didn't take long for the kids to realize that they would rather play instead. Now before I tell you the next part, let me let you know that there is an airport right next to the park. So the kids are playing and having a great time until a plane takes off at the airport and flies right over our heads. It was so loud!!!! Kinsey begins to shake uncontrollably and starts screaming and crying. Of course, I start laughing!!! She is having a fit so we are trying to load everything and everyone up in the car as quick as we can but the planes are just taking off left and right. We finally start to leave and we are going to the beach for the day. As anyone who has a child knows, kids Kinsey's age like to say the same word over and over and over!!! So for the next 15 minutes I had to hear "MOM....AIRPLANE"! At this point, Krissy decides that it is best if we don't tell Kinsey that she will be getting on an airplane in a few more days!!! We went to a beach (I don't remember the name of it) but the only way on and off is on the highest bridge I have ever seen. As we start going up the bridge I notice these signs that say "Suicide Helpline" and they give a number to call. I said well that isn't something that I want to see as we go up this tall bridge. Krissy said that they have quite a few suicide attempts on that bridge. I asked her how they get to the top of the bridge because there is absolutely no room to walk. She said that people just drive up to the top of the bridge, stop and get out. I prayed the whole time we were on the bridge that no one would stop!!! We get to the beach and the kids had so much fun. The water is freezing there but Hannah and Kinsey didn't care at all. Josh on the other hand didn't want any part of it. As we are leaving my child decides that it is time to take the biggest poo poo of her life!!! I am in the parking lot trying to change her and she keeps pointing and saying...Who's that? I look up and just a few feet from us was an award ceremony! I was so embarrassed!!! Here are some pics of the beach.

My First Airplane Ride

On April 30th Kinsey and I flew to San Diego to see my sister. I hate to fly!!!! I was scared to death and on top of that I have an almost two year old that hates to be confined. I thought to myself "What am I doing"? Well I don't know if I overreacted or if God just knew that I wouldn't be able to handle it if Kinsey was bad or even worse if we had a horrible flight. Clayton dropped us off in Tyler around 10 am. He asked if I needed help going through security. I told him no because how hard could it be to go through security with her in a stroller. Well boy I was wrong!!!! First, we both have to take our shoes off, then I have to empty my bag and they took my antibacterial lotion because it was over 3 ounces. I had to take Kinsey out of her stroller and fold the stroller up and let it go through the scanner. If I put her down she will run so I had to do all of that while holding her and NO ONE offered to help!!! We get to the end and I put her back in the stroller, put our shoes on and start putting everything back in her bag. They keep her juice and told me that they had to test it to make sure it is juice!!! The flight from Tyler to Dallas was great. We got off the plane and I load her up in the stroller and off we go to catch our flight from Dallas to San Diego. They have Air Tran's (like a subway) that take you from gate to gate so I decided that I would just ride the escalator up to the 2nd floor to get on the Air Tran instead of riding the elevator. Everything is going great until we are getting off the escalator. Kinsey stroller wasn't completely locked and it just folded up!!! I couldn't stop laughing!!! We get on the Air Tran and I hold on to the hooks and off we go.....And off Kinsey goes because I didn't hold on to her and that Air Tran takes off!!! She slammed into the wall and by this time everyone thinks I am on crack!!! We made it to San Diego and everything went great!!! Here are some pictures of her on the plane!!! She loved it!!!

My First Trip to the Golf Course

Everyone knows how much Clayton loved to play golf. Since we have had Kinsey he hardly ever plays but he has recently started back and thinks it would be a great idea if she started too. Suprisingly, she did really well at not only hitting the ball but being quiet too. Now she says "GOLF" about every other word! I have a church function tonight so Clayton said that he and Kinsey would go on a date to the golf course and play a few rounds. Clayton says he is preparing her to follow in his footsteps to be a state qualifier in 2020. That is 21 years after he went in 1999!!! That should be pretty interesting!!

My First Fish

Aden Butler had his 3rd birthday party and it was farm animal and fishing party. My father-in-law bought Kinsey the cutest little fishing pole and tackle box. She took her dad directly to the pond to start fishing as soon as we arrived at the party. They caught a few fish and she was so excited! Brooke made Aden the cutest cake ever!!! Kinsey thought it was so good. They had a big tractor at the birthday party and Kinsey wanted to climb all over it. I don't have the pictures on the tractor yet but as soon as I do I will post. We also had an Easter egg hunt. Kinsey picked up a lot of eggs but not half as many as Trace and Aden. We had such a great time. I had a hard time convincing her that it was time to go.

P.S. Check out Brooke's other creations at http://www.brookelbutler.blogspot.com/. You will be impressed!!!

Easter

I love to read blogs. I never thought I would be a blogger but I have fallen prey. We had a wonderful Easter. We woke up and went to church and Kinsey couldn't have been happier. Usually on Sunday mornings Kinsey cries when we drop her off but this wasn't a normal Sunday. This was Easter and Kinsey had cookies to share with her Sunday school friends. My mom bought Kinsey the prettiest dress for Easter and I am sure she felt like a princess in it because she couldn't stop twirling around in it. After church my parents and grandparents come over for Easter lunch. Everyone was exhausted after lunch and most everyone fell asleep. Not Kinsey which also means not me!!! Besides being on a sugar high, we also had to get ready for Easter dinner with my husband's family. Kinsey changed into her 2nd Easter dress that my mother-in-law bought for her. Kinsey was exhausted when we got home. The next day we took her picture in both Easter dresses. That was exhausting and a whole different blog in itself!!!
